Ashanti Regional Co-ordinating Council Appeals for Return of Crash Items, Offers Cash Incentive
Ashanti Region, Ghana – 8 August, 2025 - The Ashanti Regional Co-ordinating Council (ARCC) is calling on residents of Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region to return items retrieved from the August 6 military helicopter crash site.
According to intelligence gathered by the ARCC, some residents who first arrived at the scene took parts of the helicopter and personal belongings of the victims.
The Co-ordinating Council is seeking the return of all items, regardless of size, including ,helicopter parts or other metal components ,loose screws or other hardware,electronic components or storage devices
Residents have been urged to hand over the items to Unit Committees ,Assembly Members ,Municipal or District Chief Executives and Members of the investigating team.
The ARCC is offering a cash reward to individuals who voluntarily return items before the close of day on Monday, August 11, 2025. Anyone found in possession of such items after the deadline will be considered a criminal and prosecuted.
The military helicopter crash on August 6 claimed the lives of eight prominent Ghanaians.
