Akufo-Addo is the 'president we never got' - Mahama

The National Democratic Congress' (NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama, has lambasted President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for poor governance.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia regime has ruined Ghana's democracy, destroying lives and families.

Speaking at the NDC manifesto unveiling on Saturday, August 24, the former president claimed that the NPP's 2024 manifesto has been repackaged with seductive promises to deceive Ghanaians. 

He emphasized that Ghanaians had hoped for a better administration to repair the country, but they did not get it.

“Most Ghanaians will agree that Nana Akufo-Addo is indeed the President Ghana never got. Indeed, I dare say, his much-touted economic whiz kid, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is also the economic messiah Ghana never got,” he said.

“They have destroyed livelihoods and families and pushed millions of our people below the poverty line. Your vote on December 7 will end the tyranny, the cronyism, the corruption and the hardship and pave the way for the vision, experience and trustworthiness that I John Dramani Mahama is going to restore to the Flagstaff House,” he added.
