Ahmed Ibrahim, Naa Momo, Ofosu-Adjare Gets Parliamentary Nod as Ministers

Accra, Ghana - 23 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's Parliament has given the green light to three new ministerial appointees, following a thorough vetting process and debate. Ahmed Ibrahim, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare were approved by a majority vote, marking a significant milestone in President John Mahama's efforts to assemble a capable government team.

The approved ministers will assume key roles in the government.

Ahmed Ibrahim, MP for Banda, will head the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, MP for Krowor, will oversee the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, while Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP for Techiman North, will take charge of the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry.
