Ablakwa Tours Sam Jonah Estate in Nigeria, Calls for Increased Global Presence for Ghanaian Businesses

Abuja, Nigeria - 06 April, 2025 - Ghana's Foreign Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting local businesses and brands in expanding their international footprint.
During a recent visit to Abuja, Nigeria, Ablakwa toured the 501-hectare River Park Estate, a Ghanaian-owned investment project led by business mogul Uncle Sam Jonah's Jonah Capital and Mobus/Houses of Africa.
Ablakwa tasked Ghana's diplomatic mission in Abuja to provide support to the company under the Economic Diplomacy Blueprint, which aims to promote Ghanaian businesses and increase the country's economic presence globally.
''In pursuit of our renewed focus on Economic Diplomacy, I made time during my working visit to Abuja yesterday to tour an impressive Ghanaian investment in Nigeria. The magnificent 501 Hectares River Park Estate owned by the celebrated Ghanaian business mogul, Uncle Sam Jonah’s Jonah Capital and Mobus/Houses of Africa is an enduring symbol of Ghanaian enterprise. I am grateful to Mobus/Houses of Africa CEO, Kojo Ansah Mensah and his dynamic team for their incredible hospitality,'' Ablakwa wrote on his X account (formerly X).
''As the company expands and seeks to navigate local challenges, I have tasked our diplomatic mission in Abuja to offer all the support available under our Economic Diplomacy Blueprint.
The estate, which was officially commissioned on October 23, 2017, by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, features a range of homes, including luxury villas, detached and semi-detached houses, and modern apartments, catering to various family sizes and preferences.
The Estate is seen as a symbol of Ghanaian enterprise and a testament to the country's growing economic presence in West Africa.
The Minister urged Ghanaian businesses, particularly young entrepreneurs, to leverage the Economic Diplomacy tools to establish their presence beyond Ghana's borders.
He assured them that the Foreign Ministry is always ready to facilitate and help make their vision a reality, with the goal of creating more Ghanaian international brands.
