Accra, Ghana - Renowned Ghanaian actor and creative, Albert Odartei Jackson-Davis, has died after a courageous battle with an undisclosed illness.


The sad news was announced on Saturday, September 14, and confirmed on Monday, September 16, by Akunu Dake, CEO of Heritage Development, in a heartfelt Facebook post.


Dake's tribute has sparked an outpouring of grief and condolences from the public and fellow creatives, who are mourning the loss of a talented and iconic figure in Ghana's entertainment industry.


In his post, Dake reflected on his cherished friendship and professional relationship with Jackson-Davis, celebrating his legacy and impact on Ghanaian arts and culture.

Dake remembered Jackson-Davis as a dear friend and colleague, highlighting their time working together during the PANAFEST years in the 1990s.

He wrote, “This is very difficult for me. Rest in peace my good friend and colleague Albert Odartei Jackson-Davis. Able Deputy Executive Director during our PANAFEST years in the 1990s.”

Jackson-Davis was a highly respected actor, known for his powerful performances portraying elite characters with simplicity and class. His poised dialogue delivery earned him admiration from peers and fans alike.
