Rose Yeboah's Olympic hopes dashed after unsuccessful attempts
Rose Yeboah made her Olympic debut for Ghana at the Paris Games but failed to win a medal.

Ghana's hope to secure a medal in the High Jump event at the ongoing Paris Games was dashed when Olympic debutant, Rose Yeboah failed to advance to the women's high jump final on Friday.

The 22-year-old failed to cross the 1.92m bar on her third attempt.

The two-time African champion however, cleared the bar at 1.83m and 1.88m on her second and third attempts, respectively.

Unfortunately, her attempt at 1.92m, which is significantly lower than her personal best (PB of 1.97m), was unsuccessful and thus ruled er out of a medal position.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian swimmer, Joselle Alice Mensah will be participating in the Women's 50m Freestyle swimming event on Saturday, August 3, 1024

Also, Benjamin Azamati and Abdul Rasheed Saminu are set to represent Ghana in the Men's 100m also Saturday.
