Guru files injunction against Legon SRC following disqualification from elections
Ghanaian Hiplife musician, Maradona Adjei Yeboah, also known as Guru NKZ, has filed a petition against the University of Ghana's Student Representative Council (SRC) Electoral Commission after hime was disqualified from competing for the position of SRC president.
Guru's dismissal was based on his non-resident status, which violated Article 30, which requires candidates to be campus residents and able to run for a Junior Common Room (JCR) post in their hall.
During vetting, Guru and his running mate, Jeffery Adu Yeboah, confessed that they were not residents of any hall, resulting in their disqualification.
In response, Guru's legal team has petitioned the Electoral Commission and the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs for a review of the judgment.
