Joshua Ansah succeeds Yaw Baah as TUC Secretary General, with Bernard Owusu elected Chairman

Joshua Ansah, the Deputy Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress, has taken over as substantive Secretary General from Dr Anthony Yaw Baah. Mr Ansah was uncontested after Yaw Baah's term expired.

Mr Bernard Owusu was also elected as the TUC's new chairman.

Mr. Owusu served as National Chairman of the General Transport Petroleum Chemical Workers Union (GTPCWU) before being elected TUC Chairman. He replaces Alex Opoku-Nyarko.

Bernard Owusu won 347 votes, defeating Alex Opoku-Nyarko, who was hoping to prolong his term.
