Ghana will have a better future with Bawumia as president - Samira

Ghana's Second Lady, Samira Bawumia has issued an impassioned plea to Ghanaians to vote massively for her husband, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer, in the impending 2024 general election.

With unflinching faith in his leadership talents, she assured the public that Dr. Bawumia's presidency will bring about  tremendous improvements.

Addressing a crowd of NPP supporters at Effiakuma Zong, in Takoradi on Saturday, August 17, ahead of the party's Manifesto Launch, she declared "Ghana's future will be better if Dr Mahamudu Bawumia becomes President."

She additionally highlighted the Akufo-Addo government's numerous social initiatives, expressing hope that these initiatives will thrive under Dr. Bawumia's leadership.

The Second Lady, who was born and raised in a Zongo community, told her personal experience of how education changed her life, emphasizing the importance of the government's free education program.

“I was born and nurtured in the Zongo, and if it hadn’t been for education, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she said.
