CAF hands Libya 3-0 forfeit loss to Nigeria, imposes $50k fine
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Board has handed Libya a 3-0 forfeit loss in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Nigeria.
This decision, released via a statement, follows Libya's breach of CAF regulations and disciplinary code. The Libya Football Federation was also ordered to pay a $50,000 fine within 60 days.
The match was originally scheduled for October 15, 2024, in Benghazi.
