Accra, Ghana - 12 Feb, 2025 - A group of armed individuals, some dressed in military and police uniforms, raided the residence of Ghana's former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the upscale Labone area of Accra, while Mr. Ofori-Atta was reportedly out of the country receiving medical treatment.

According to eyewitnesses, around 12 individuals, including five in military uniforms and one in a police uniform, carried out the raid. Some family members, including Mr. Ofori-Atta's wife, were present at the time, but it is unclear if anything was taken.

The motive behind the raid is still unknown, and authorities have yet to comment on the incident.

The incident has raised concerns about the security of high-profile individuals in Ghana, and an investigation is expected to be launched into the raid.
