Akufo-Addo praises Bawumia's loyalty, urges Ghanaians to vote for him
Wa, Upper West Region, Ghana - President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, as a loyal and dedicated partner of nearly two decades.
Addressing chiefs and opinion leaders in Wa, Upper West Region, Akufo-Addo expressed his confidence in Bawumia's unwavering commitment to serving Ghana.
Akufo-Addo emphasized that a vote for Bawumia is a vote for loyalty, commitment, and dedication, urging Ghanaians to support him in the upcoming 2024 elections to continue the NPP's developmental agenda.
The President also criticized opposition leader John Dramani Mahama, advising voters to choose Bawumia as the candidate capable of building on the progress the NPP has made. Akufo-Addo dismissed Mahama's interpretation of "breaking the 8" as a sign of victory, instead framing it as a negative omen.
“In the nearly 20 years that I have been working with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, I have not had one day, one occasion to doubt his loyalty, to doubt his commitment to our common goal. And I have come here to ask you for your support to make Bawumia break the 8.
“I see that the former president is saying all kinds of things about the number 8 that he chose. That it means he is going to win. Breaking the 8 and having the number 8, that is not a good sign at all,'' he added
