Suspected cable thief electrocuted to death in Potsin
Potsin, Centra Region - 30 Jan, 2025 - GhanaThe body of a young man believed to be in his late 20s has been found dead around the Potsin Senior High School area.
The individual whose identity is not yet known was found lying face down close to an electric pole dead.
Citi News sources say residents in Gomoa Potsin witnessed intermittent power outages earlier in the week only to discover that some light cables had been cut off close to where the dead body was found, an indication that the individual attempted to steal some of the cables and was electrocuted.
Close physical examination of the body suggests the deceased was part of a group of individuals who attempted to steal cables belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana but was electrocuted to death.
