President Mahama Launches 'Black Star Experience'

Balck Star Square, Accra - 01 May, 2025 - President John Dramani Mahama launched the Black Star Experience at the Freedom and Justice Monument in Black Star Square, Accra, on May 1, 2025.
This initiative aims to establish Ghana as a unique tourist destination and gateway to Africa for the global diaspora.
The Black Star Experience is a flagship program for the tourism, culture, and creative arts industries, featuring curated cultural, historical, and creative arts experiences developed in collaboration with the private sector, diplomatic missions, and government agencies.
The program includes various activities such as concert party competitions, film events, street carnivals, fashion festivals, food fairs, theatrical and drama performances, and monthly domestic tourism destinations. According to President Mahama, the Black Star Experience will promote Ghanaian identity, attract investment, create jobs, and boost tourism.
This initiative is part of the National Democratic Congress's 2024 manifesto and aims to position Ghana as a hub for international summits, business conventions, and high-profile gatherings.
The launch of the Black Star Experience marks a significant step in promoting Ghana's cultural heritage and creative arts industry, with potential benefits for the country's economy and global reputation.
