Parliament Grills Agnes Momo Lartey, Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, Ahmed Ibrahim today

Accra, Ghana - 21 Jan, 2025 - Ghana's Parliament is set to resume its vetting process for ministerial nominees today, Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
The Appointments Committee will scrutinize the qualifications and plans of three key nominees: Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister-Designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs; Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, Minister-Designate for Gender, Children, and Social Protection; and Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister-Designate for Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry.
This vetting process is a critical step in ensuring that the nominees are fit for their respective roles. The committee will question them on their experience, policies, and vision for their ministries.
Yesterday, Monday, January 20, the committee vetted three other nominees: Haruna Iddrisu, Education Minister-Designate; Eric Opoku, Agriculture Minister-Designate; and Kwame Governs Agbodza, Roads and Highways Minister-Designate. The vetting process is expected to continue over the next few days, with more nominees scheduled to appear before the committee.
