Ntim Fordjour Must Be Arrested to Provide Proof - Sammy Gyamfi

Accra, Ghana - 05 April, 2025 - Ghana's political landscape has been rocked by allegations of drug trafficking and money laundering linked to two aircraft that visited the country earlier this month.
At the center of the storm is Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South, who claims the planes may have been involved in illicit activities.
The controversy centers on an air ambulance and a private jet that reportedly stayed in Ghana for several days before departing for Gran Canaria, a Spanish island. Rev. Fordjour, citing intelligence, has suggested that the aircraft could have been transporting cocaine and large sums of US currency.
The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has responded to the allegations, with National Communications Officer Sammy Gyamfi calling for Rev. Fordjour's arrest if he fails to substantiate his claims.
“In other jurisdictions, he would have been blacklisted.
“If he doesn’t honour the invitation [by National Security] to him and he thinks that he can hide behind his parliamentary privileges, he lie bad. Because he will be arrested. Some of us will insist that he is arrested and you must substantiate that,'' Sammy Gyamfi remarked on the JoyNews' News File programme on Saturday April, 5.
However, Rev. Fordjour has refused to back down, daring Gyamfi to have him arrested on live TV. "Sammy, I dare you to call them to come and arrest me right here in the show," he retorted.
Meanwhile, Government Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu, have dismissed the allegations as baseless and unfounded.
