MTN Ghana's Profit Soars to GH₵3.6 Billion in First Half of 2025

MTN Ghana has reported a remarkable 55.8% increase in profit after tax to GH₵3.6 billion for the first six months of 2025. This impressive growth is driven by strong performance across its data, mobile money, and voice services.

The company's Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Blewett, attributed MTN's performance to "strong commercial momentum and execution." He also expressed gratitude to the employees for their hard work and dedication.

"These results would not be possible without the unwavering dedication and hard work of our MTN Ghana employees," Blewett stated, highlighting the crucial role employees played in achieving the company's success.

- Service Revenue: GH₵11.3 billion, representing a 40% increase
- Data Revenue: GH₵6.0 billion, up 50.8% year-on-year
- Mobile Money Revenue: GH₵2.8 billion, growing 46.4% year-on-year
- Voice Revenue: GH₵2.0 billion, increasing 12.6% year-on-year

Subscriber Growth
- Mobile Subscribers: 30.2 million, up 6.5% from last year
- Active Data Users: 18.2 million, representing an 11% increase
- Mobile Money Users: 17.7 million, growing 7.4% year-on-year

Investment and Dividend
- Network Upgrades: MTN invested GH₵2.7 billion in network upgrades, expanding 4G coverage to 99.3% of the population
- Interim Dividend: GH₵0.08 per share, up from GH₵0.065 in the same period last year, payable on September 11, 2025
