Irchad Razaaly Ends Tenure as EU Ambassador to Ghana

Accra, Ghana - 10 May, 2025 - European Union Ambassador to Ghana, Irchad Razaaly, has bid farewell to his role, marking the end of his tenure as he celebrated Europe Day.
Speaking at the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, which laid the foundation for the European Union, Ambassador Razaaly expressed his deep appreciation for the strong ties between the EU and Ghana.
During his remarks, he commended the dedication and collaboration of Ghanaian counterparts, past and present administrations, ministries, civil society, the media, and the people of Ghana.
He thanked them for their support throughout his service, expressing confidence that his successor would enjoy the same level of cooperation.
Ambassador Razaaly emphasized the European Union's commitment to multilateralism, regional peace and stability, and international rules-based trading.
“I am grateful for the dedication and collaboration of our Ghanaian counterparts, the past and present administrations, ministries, civil society, the media and most importantly the people of Ghana.”
He welcomed his successor, set to arrive in September, to build on the strong foundation established between the EU and Ghana.
“I extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you. I am confident that you will support my successor, arriving in September, in strengthening EU- Ghana relations even further.”
