Ghana's Kwame Poku Joins QPR on Permanent Deal

London, England - 30 June, 2025 - Ghanaian footballer Kwame Poku has joined English Championship side Queens Park Rangers (QPR) from Peterborough United.

The 23-year-old attacker, who has played for Ghana once at senior level, is expected to bring versatility and creativity to QPR's frontline.

Poku's transfer marks a new chapter in his career, following four successful years at Peterborough United where he scored 30 goals and provided 30 assists in 147 appearances.

Poku expressed his enthusiasm for the project at QPR, stating that he wants to be part of taking the team to the next level.

“I feel like the project they’re building here excites me and I want to be part of taking QPR to that next level,” Poku said after completing his transfer. 

He praised the quality of the squad and the environment at QPR, which he believes will help him improve his attacking numbers and overall performance. The club's decision to sign Poku is seen as a strategic move to bolster their attacking options and bring depth to their frontline.
