Accra, Ghana – 26 July, 2025 – Renowned Ghanaian highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has died at the age of 61 after a short illness. He passed away at the Bank Hospital in Accra on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

According to sources close to the family, Daddy Lumba had been admitted to the hospital for an undisclosed health condition and succumbed to his illness in the morning. As news of his passing spread, fans and well-wishers gathered at his residence in East Legon, Accra, to pay their respects.
