Akpafu Chief endorses John Mahama for 2024 Presidency

Oti Region, Ghana - Nov 8, 2024 - The Chief of Akpafu in Ghana's Oti Region, Bosatē Ledzasē Mireku II, has publicly endorsed John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), for the 2024 presidential election.

This endorsement was made during a recent gathering in Akpafu, where the Chief expressed confidence in the NDC's commitment to developing the Oti and Volta Regions, particularly Santrokofi, Akpafu, Likpe, and Lolobi (SALL) areas.

Key Reasons for Endorsement

- Longstanding Support: The Chief praised NDC's historical attention to neglected communities.
- Progressive Vision: Alignment with Akpafu's needs and aspirations.
- Development Priorities: Economic and social growth.

The Chief recalled past presidential visits, noting President John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills' and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's successful campaigns in Akpafu, optimistic that Mahama's visit would similarly yield victory.

“We are forward to your continued support and leadership in making Guan communities and our nation a better place for all. It is our desire and hope that you win this election in the first round.

“The late Professor John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills visited Akpafu in the last days of his campaign to become the President of the Republic of Ghana.

“The current President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, visited us here and became president, and now that President John Dramani Mahama is here, Insha Allah, victory is yours in this election.”
