Von de Leyen to stay as European Commission President.
EU leaders have nominated current European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for a second five-year term at a summit in Brussels.
Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas has been named the EU's next foreign affairs leader, while former Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa has been appointed as the next chairman of EU summits. All three candidates are from moderate, pro-EU groupings.
The European Parliament is scheduled to vote on the nominations next month.
