The state owes us GH₵7.1bn – Nduom claims
Global President of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum has once again reiterated that the state owes him more than GHC7.1 billion, including interest.
During a press event in Accra, Dr. Nduom stated, "Per our arithmetic, we are owed more than GHC7.1 billion including interests…They know they owe, and they can argue about interests, they can argue about that.”
Dr. Nduom also said that he will temporarily stop his "Bring Back GN Bank" campaign in September to go on nationwide tour of the bank's 300 branches.
This tour follows a previous visit to the bank's branches in the northern region.
The tour, he explained, is intended to rally support among petitioners campaigning for the reinstatement of GN Bank's license, which was terminated in 2019.
The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has defended its 2019 decision to suspend GN Bank's license, alleging serious regulatory violations.
The Central Bank claimed that GN Bank's failure to comply with essential financial legislation and banking standards threatened its operational stability
