Samini to star in a new movie, 'the storm'

Ghanaian music icon Samini is set to make his acting debut in the upcoming movie "The Storm", which premieres in September.

The Storm, directed by Ben Owusu, will be shown at Kumasi's Silverbird Cinemas on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22, 2024. Samini stars in the thrilling Ghanaian thriller "The Storm" as Ali Zafara, the ruthless and feared leader of the Southern Crime underworld.

He is joined in this riveting drama by a remarkable ensemble cast that includes Ama K. Abebrese, Adjetey Anang, Fiifi Coleman, Salma Mumin, Edward Agyakum Kuffuor, and Luckie Lawson.

Set in Accra, "The Storm" digs into the city's dark underbelly, revealing a world of crime, murder, kidnapping, and corruption.

Amidst the mayhem, Detectives Danso (Adjetey Anang) and Lynn (Ama K. Abebrese) are the only honest members of the law enforcement squad battling for justice.

Meanwhile, Milly (Luckie Lawson) emerges as a formidable voice against crime, advocating for young people's safety. Her relentless efforts catapult her to instant celebrity, putting her as a competitor to President Edward Agyekum Kufuor.
