Ghana set to launch 5G Network Services on November 1
Accra, Ghana - October 10, 2024 - Ghana is gearing up to launch its 5G network services on November 1, 2024, following the government's partnership with seven industry players to establish a shared infrastructure .
The Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, announced in an interview on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Show with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Wednesday October 2, 2024 that all necessary structures are in place for the rollout, which promises to deliver affordable and high-speed mobile broadband services across the country.

The 5G network, dubbed the Fifth Generation of Wireless Technology, boasts higher internet speeds, faster upload and download times, and more consistent connections. It's expected to be 10 times faster than 4G Plus, making it a game-changer for Ghana's digital landscape.
