Akufo-Addo embarks on two-day tour of Northern regions
Northern Ghana - October 14, 2024 - President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has begun a two-day tour of the Savannah, Northern, and North-East Regions, aiming to engage with local communities and highlight his government's achievements.
The tour, which started today, Monday, October 14, and will conclude on Tuesday, October 15, demonstrates the government's commitment to regional development and community support.
During his visit, President Akufo-Addo will showcase his administration's initiatives and accomplishments, focusing on key areas such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure development. He will also campaign for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer in the upcoming elections.
Accompanied by government officials and presidential representatives, the President seeks to foster closer ties between the government and the people. By emphasizing grassroots involvement in governance, the delegation aims to strengthen community relationships.
Key Objectives of the Tour:
- Highlight Government Achievements: Showcase initiatives and accomplishments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
- Campaign for Dr. Bawumia: Rally support for the NPP flagbearer ahead of the December polls.

This tour is not the President's first visit to these regions. Previously, he has toured the Upper West and Savannah Regions, inspecting ongoing projects and commissioning completed ones. Similar tours have also taken place in the Central Region, where the President inspected various projects and commissioned factories.
