A 'Devil Wears Prada' Sequel is Officially Happening
A sequel to the hit film The Devil Wears Prada is reportedly in the pipeline, with Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt expected to reprise their original roles.
Plans are underway for a follow-up to the 2006 original, Puck News reports, with Streep to step back into the shoes of fiery fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly. Blunt will return as Emily Charlton - Miranda's former run-ragged assistant, who is now an executive.

The pair are set to go head-to-head in the plot of the hotly-anticipated sequel. However, it remains uncertain whether Anne Hathaway will return to play Andy Sachs in the Disney production.
Variety reports that original screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna is in discussion about returning to write the sequel. The news comes just months after Hathaway reassured fans of The Devil Wears Prada that they 'don't need to worry about a sequel', despite author Lauren Weisberger writing Revenge Wears Prada.
Speaking to E! News, Hathaway said: "I don't think a continuation of that story is probably ever gonna happen." She joked that the trio would 'continue to give out awards to other people', but dismissed the idea of a sequel.
The actress confessed she 'would love' to see the trio reunite with director David Frankel, but she wants the original movie to stand alone. She said: "The truth of the matter is - with any film - all we can do is make it. The reason that movie felt so special was that we were a team and we did that work, but really it's the love that everybody pours to it. Let's just keep the thing that we all agree with love."
