2026 WC Qualifiers: Black Stars Rebound with Convincing 5-0 Win Over Chad

Accra, Ghana - 21 March, 2025 - Ghana's senior national football team, the Black Stars, bounced back from a disappointing run of results with a resounding 5-0 victory over Chad in their CAF World Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday March 21, 2025.
The win marked a significant return to form for the team, which had been under pressure following a string of lackluster performances.
Antoine Semenyo set the tone for the match with a second-minute goal, before Inaki Williams doubled the lead with a well-taken header in the 31st minute.
Captain Jordan Ayew converted a penalty just before halftime to make it 3-0, effectively sealing the result.
The Black Stars continued to dominate in the second half, with Mohammed Salisu adding a fourth goal in the 56th minute. Ernest Nuamah completed the rout with a neat finish in the 68th minute, capping off an impressive team display.
