There's no country in the world where education is not politicised - NAPO
Kumasi, Ghana - The New Patriotic Party's (NPP) vice presidential candidate, Matthew Opoku Prempeh has rejected calls to depoliticize Ghana's education sector, instead emphasizing the need to prioritize quality education.
Speaking at the 57th National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) Congress at KNUST, Prempeh stressed that equipping schools with necessary resources and infrastructure should take center stage.
“I’ve never come across a single country in the world where education is not politicised and to attempt to do is rather a lack of knowledge on what education is all about.
“Really, we should be focusing on quality education, technical and vocational training and NUGs the student leadership should always be the champion and the beacon of advocacy of quality education and technical training in this country,” he stated.
