Police deny reports of militia training in Kwahu

The Ghana Police Service has firmly denied rumors of militiamen training in Kwahu, Eastern Region, in preparation for the 2024 general elections.

In a brief statement, the police stated that after conducting an investigation, they had no evidence to corroborate these assertions.

“The Police have commenced an investigation to identify those behind the false publication to come and answer for their actions in line with the due process of the law.”

The Ghana Police Service also urged the public against publishing and disseminating fake news, advising everyone to communicate responsibly.

“We wish to caution the public against the publication and dissemination of fake news.”
