Teenage girls stab 16-year-old BECE graduate to death in Anloga

Anloga, Ashanti Region - November 5, 2024 - A shocking incident has left a community in mourning after a 16-year-old boy, Dennis Owusu Ansah, was fatally stabbed by one of three teenage girls during a dispute on Monday night.

According to eyewitnesses, the altercation occurred around 7:30 p.m. while the girls were escorting a friend home. The situation escalated, and one of the girls allegedly pulled out a knife, stabbing Dennis in the rib.

Victim's Family Demands Justice

Dennis's mother, Stella Frimpong, and brother, Evans Owusu Ansah, are devastated by the loss. “We went to Tweneboa Kodua (SHS) on Saturday, and we were told to report on Thursday. So, I beg the child has indeed passed so please authorities should ensure that justice is served,” Stella said, pleading for justice.

Evans echoed his mother's sentiments, emphasizing, “What we the family require is that the government assist and ensure that justice is served because you can’t kill a boy just like that. For a child of 15 years, you can’t just stab someone’s child.

“So, the government must ensure the right thing is done. I am surprised a child of her age could do such a thing.”

Police Investigation Underway

The three teenage girls are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations. Authorities have promised to ensure a thorough probe and swift justice.
