Man Arrested for Vandalising Cars at Parliament
A bizarre incident has unfolded at Ghana's Parliament House in Accra, where a young man, dressed in white, has been taken into custody for vandalizing several cars and other property on the premises.
Eyewitnesses report that the suspect, who appeared to be mentally impaired, smashed the windscreens and windows of approximately seven vehicles parked in front of the parliamentary buildings. The motive behind the attack remains unclear.
According to sources, the individual gained access to the parliament premises by posing as a preacher. As he was being apprehended by police officers, he was heard shouting, "Daddy don't kill them. Daddy don't destroy my people," while looking up to the sky.
The incident has resulted in significant damage to four Land Cruiser V8 vehicles belonging to members of parliament. Authorities have yet to release a statement on the matter.
