NAGRAT worried over maltreatment of TVET teachers
Accra, Ghana - The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) has expressed outrage over the alleged mistreatment of professional teachers in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
In a statement signed by President Angel Carbonu, NAGRAT criticized the Ministry of Education for failing to provide a transitional period for teachers affected by the conversion of technical schools to TVET institutions.
The association claims that the establishment of TVET has created numerous challenges for professional teachers, who were not given the option to choose whether to remain with the Ghana Education Service (GES) or transfer to TVET.
NAGRAT is demanding immediate action from the Ministry of Education to address the concerns of affected teachers and ensure their rights are protected.
