VP's office distances itself from Cantonments and Labone properties demolition

Accra, Ghana - The Office of the Vice President has issued a statement to address recent media reports alleging unauthorized entry and demolition of properties in Cantonments and Labone.

In a press release signed by spokesperson Gideon Boako on Friday, September 6, the office denied claims that individuals involved in these actions were acting under the Vice President's authority.

The statement aimed to set the record straight and provide clarity on the matter, following widespread media coverage of the allegations.

According to the statement, the Vice President's office is taking steps to address the situation and ensure that the truth is revealed.

“We wish to place on record that the Vice President or his Office does not have any interest in any property in the Cantonments and Labone areas where such acts are alleged to have occurred.”

“We are by this release, calling on the general public to treat as false, any information contrary to the position stated above,” the statement added.
