Korle-Bu Renal Unit Calls on NHIA

Accra, Ghana - The leadership of the Renal unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital paid a courtesy visit to the offices of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) on Monday August 26, 2024, to discuss the implementation of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Free Dialysis program.

This comes on the heels of a monitoring visit by the Chief Executive Officer of the NHIA, Dr. Dacosta Aboagye to the Renal unit of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, where the program's progress was assessed.

The NHIS Free Dialysis program aims to provide free dialysis treatment to patients with kidney disease, alleviating the financial burden on individuals and families.

The NHIA's engagement with healthcare providers underscores its commitment to ensuring the program's successful implementation and improving healthcare for Ghanaians.
