Man with ‘Britain’s largest penis’ reveals dating struggles

A man who claims to have the “largest penis in Britain” has opened up about his struggles when it comes to dating and relationships.

Matt Bar first realised he had a bigger penis (measuring more than 12 inches) than his peers when he took showers after PE at school.

The 40-year-old was asked about his dating troubles when he appeared on This Morning on Tuesday (23 April).

He told Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard: “It's difficult because it's not something you really spring on people as a surprise, because it just does scare people away generally.”#

He told The Sun on Sunday: “I’ve made many women blush with embarrassment when talking to them about it.

“Mostly, though, it’s men who are jealous and try to make jokes. I was nervous to share details of such a private body part on TV but I don’t want it to be shameful.

“Having a big penis is one of the biggest issues I’ve had to deal with in my life. It might sound like every man’s dream but it really isn’t.”

On Tuesday’s show, This Morning hosts Cat, 47, and Ben Shephard, 49, sat down with Matt to discuss his massive member.

The blonde presenter empathised with Matt’s unusual condition, saying: “Bigger isn’t always better.”

While he insists the stars were both “totally professional”, ahead of appearing on the daytime show Matt was “sick” with nerves.

He said: “Sitting backstage earlier, I was definitely panicking slightly at sharing intimate details about my penis and my life with millions of viewers.

“I had chosen my clothes carefully too, wanting to avoid drawing too much attention to my crotch.

“It’s always nerve-wracking to talk about my penis because you just never know how someone will react.

“It was really nice that Cat and Ben both seemed genuinely fascinated about my situation.

“It’s a tough subject to bring up in conversation – which is why I tend to avoid it – but as long as it’s handled well - no pun intended - then it usually ends OK.

“Eyebrows usually shoot up when I reveal the exact size.”

Matt has been confirmed to have one of the biggest penises in the world after being medically examined.  To avoid embarrassment, he is used to hiding his huge package.

Londoner Matt admitted: “My penis so large, I’m often forced to hide it with baggy clothing. I would never go to the supermarket or the gym in tight jeans, for instance.

“It would be impossible because people would definitely stare and it’s quite impractical, too.

“Having a big penis is one of the biggest issues I’ve had to deal with in my life. It might sound like every man’s dream but it really isn’t.

“People don’t realise the downside. I avoid public swimming pools, for instance, unless I’m on holiday abroad and there are no families around.

"I’m not a big clothes shopper but it’s difficult to find suitable products, and I feel limited in what I wear.”

Matt’s penis size was even the reason he recently broke up with his girlfriend after just two months of dating.

He confessed: “It’s only been two weeks since we broke up but it’s very frustrating. It’s a challenge to progress further when we’re not compatible physically.

“Our break-up wasn’t entirely penis-size related and there must’ve been other issues as well, but I can’t have a normal sex life.

“It was difficult losing my virginity. It makes me feel down and upset. People only want to try it for the novelty factor and aren’t interested in starting a real relationship with me”

Our break-up wasn’t entirely penis-size related and there must’ve been other issues as well, but I can’t have a normal sex life.

Matt added: “Dating is also difficult sometimes. I don’t bring up the big issue until later on, because I don’t want my date to think I’m just after sex, but women’s reactions can be tough.

“Some are horrified but there are a few whose eyes light up.

“I try not to get into my own head about it too much, because then it might ruin the date.

“Generally, most people are respectful but there will always be a few odd ones out, who ask to see my penis – which makes me annoyed, because I’m more than just a body part.

“Others tell me to get an OnlyFans or sell photos of myself online. I grew up in the era before OnlyFans made it easier for male performers, and I’m too old and out-of-shape to actually make a career of it now.

“I do fear about the future of my love life, as if this keeps happening, then I’ll have to look into getting a reduction.”

PENIS REDUCTION OP

Matt has researched surgery for his condition - known as reduction corporoplasty - which claims to reduce penis size and can cost £15,000.

He said: “There’s one question everyone asks: why don’t I just get surgery?

“Look, if it was cheaper and proven that it would work, I’d have had the surgery already. If I feel ready for it in the future and I meet the right person, then maybe I’ll consider it.

“For now, I’m reluctantly sticking with the penis I’ve got.”

Growing up before the widespread adoption of the internet, Matt admits he “didn’t know how large I was”.

He added: “There was nothing to compare to except for what I saw in lad mags, and they usually exaggerate a fair bit – which actually made me think my penis was fairly normal.

“Once I had access to a computer, I poured over forums and websites, trying to get a sense of how my penis size would affect my sex life in the future.

“In a way, I was sheltered and didn’t fully realise what I was dealing with until I became an adult.”

Now Matt wants to dispel the myth around “bigger is better” and believes talking about penises this way only makes men feel insecure.

While there aren’t many people in his situation, he hopes to become a voice for others suffering.

He explained: “I think a lot of the conversations surrounding penises and size are driven by porn, commercial intent and jokes.

“Being able to talk about the extremes in a serious manner will improve people’s awareness and hopefully counteract the idea that it’s something to joke about.

“If people listen to more of my interviews, they will learn something they haven’t thought about before.

My penis so large, I’m often forced to hide it with baggy clothing.

“Although there’s not many people in my situation, it’s great to talk openly about the problems I face for others in a similar situation to relate to.

“For example, if someone is bigger than average and their partner is smaller than average, these issues I face can still happen.

“It’s just on a different scale – but I can offer advice from experience.”
