Four masked men rob Adabraka market, flee with cash

Adabraka, Accra- Adabraka neighborhood was thrown into chaos on Saturday, November 2, as four heavily armed and masked men carried out a daring daylight robbery.

GUNFIRE AND PANIC

Eyewitnesses described the scene to journalists as the robbers, armed with guns, approached a red Toyota Corolla parked near the bustling market. They fired multiple shots into the air, sending shoppers and vendors scrambling for cover.

The robbers targeted the Toyota, forcibly entering the vehicle and seizing large sacks of cash stored inside. They then loaded the bags into their getaway vehicle, a Rav 4, and fled the scene, continuing to fire shots to keep bystanders at bay.

EYEWITNESS ACCOUNTS

"I was shocked," said one eyewitness. "We deal in gold here, and suddenly there was sporadic shooting. They took bags of money from some shops."

Another witness recounted, "The robbers targeted a gold dealer's Toyota Corolla, taking bags of money. This is the second time this has happened. Police arrived late, after the robbers had escaped."

VIDEO FOOTAGE SPREADS CONCERN

Videos of the robbery, captured by onlookers, have gone viral on social media, highlighting the gunmen's swift and coordinated movements. The footage has raised concerns about safety in the area.

In a statement, the Ghana Police Service assured the general public that they were on a manhunt for the armed robbers.
