SSNIT disburses GHȼ450 Million to Pensioners for September

Accra, Ghana - The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has released a total of GHȼ450.07 million to 251,576 pensioners for the month of September 2024.

This payment, made on September 19, covers pension benefits under both PNDC Law 247 and Act 766.

The highest monthly pension payout under PNDC Law 247 was a substantial GHȼ186,777.58, while the maximum under Act 766 was GHȼ26,509.66.

On the other end of the spectrum, the lowest monthly pension for existing pensioners stood at GHȼ409.10, and for new pensioners, it was GHȼ300.00.

Notably, 996 more pensioners benefited from the September payout compared to August, highlighting SSNIT's commitment to expanding financial support to retirees .

Pensioners can access their benefits through their respective banks.

SSNIT's next pension payment is scheduled for October 17, 2024.

This timely payout underscores the organization's dedication to providing financial security to retirees across Ghana, encouraging workers to plan for their retirement and secure full benefits
