Charismatic Bishops pray for Ghana's economic resurgence, deliverance from Galamsey
Accra, Ghana - October 7, 2024 - The Ghana Charismatic Bishops Conference has issued a heartfelt prayer, seeking divine intervention to rescue Ghana from dwindling economic activities.
The bishops expressed concern over the destruction of vital resources, including farmlands, forests, and water bodies, which hinder national progress.
They are seeking an end to destructive economic practices and the emergence of innovative initiatives that will drive Ghana toward technological and manufacturing excellence.
The Bishops also prayed for significant upgrades to Ghana's roads, recognizing the critical role infrastructure plays in economic growth.
In a signed communique, the bishops sought divine guidance for Ghana's leaders, urging them to make informed decisions that will propel the country forward.
“We, the Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference pray for the lasting prosperity of Ghana. May our nation be delivered from diminishing returns from economic activities that destroy the pastures, farmlands, the forests, destroy the rivers and destroy the environment.
“May our nation be delivered from having only diminishing returns activities that degrade our lands, deplete our fish populations empty our mines and finish our oil reserves.
“May Ghana become a nation busy with newer increasing returns economic activities that stem from innovations, technological changes, manufacturing, services and synergies.”
“The Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference does pray that Ghana will be a nation of beautiful cities and towns with tarred and concrete roads. We pray for Ghana that every single town and city will be beautifully paved with asphalt or concrete so that all dust and dirt paths and dirt lanes will be removed from all our towns and cities," it read.
