A dramatic scene unfolded at the premises of Metro TV in Accra on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, as police officers and a court bailiff attempted to interrupt a live broadcast.

According to sources, the dispute is a private business matter, unrelated to politics, despite speculation circulating in the public domain. The court bailiff, armed with a court order, tried to seize Metro TV's assets but was met with resistance from the station's private security personnel.

In a statement released on Nov 27, the police urged the public, particularly Metro TV's management and staff, to remain calm and cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

According to them, preliminary investigations suggest that police officers accompanied the court bailiff to execute the court order against Metro TV, following a request from the court.
